Stayinn Gateway Hotel Apartment Kuching, Kuching

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious with a great kitchen/lounge/dining area, and the two bedrooms had plenty of room. A bonus was having a washing machine & dryer. It's definitely a good value for what you pay, especially for a large family looking for a place near the waterfront.

I loved how my room had a balcony, allowing me to enjoy the view outside. However, the four air conditioning units on that same balcony were incredibly noisy and disturbed my sleep all night. The hotel is okay and clean overall.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were very big and ideal for a group of 4 persons, but they fell a bit below our expectations, especially compared to what was shown on the website. The back door with the connecting door between two rooms was convenient yet brought some noise issues. The service was very helpful and accommodating, organizing things for us when we asked, showcasing warm hospitality. However, there were instances of poor attention from staff leading to some disappointing moments. The location was great, just a short walk to the waterfront and surrounded by many eateries, although the place tended to be fully occupied during office hours. The proximity to the famous seafood Kuching spot was both a positive and a negative, being near to the restaurant but also leading to some dampness in the room. The dining experience was not the best, especially after breakfast, as there were no kitchen facilities, and interactions with the staff were subpar. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory without standing out.

I found this hotel to be in a convenient location, near the famous seafood food court 'Top Spot' and close to shopping complexes. The rooms, although a bit tired looking and lacking automatic doors, were connected through thin doors making it easy to hear noise from adjacent rooms. The service was friendly and attentive, although not always easily accessible at the reception. The dining experience was adequate but could use more variety, and the facilities were satisfactory.

The location was good overall, with easy access to the city center and nearby attractions, although the back entrance through alleys could be off-putting at night. The dining options were decent, but lacking hot and tempting dishes in the morning due to the absence of kitchen facilities on-site. The facilities were satisfactory, providing essential services like car hire, dry cleaning, and laundry.
